All We Want and Need


Father God, you sent your son

And showed us who he is

He is the light, and lifted up

For those you would forgive

If we would believe that he’s

The way, the truth, the life

May we follow and embrace him

And love him, heart and mind

But if the world would blind us

And leave us feeling lost

May we never look away from

Our Savior on the cross

Holy Spirit, help us now

To feel and clearly see

That Jesus Christ, the Son of God

Is all we want and need
