God’s Purpose for Your Suffering

I designed the cover for Kevin Halloran’s new publishing of God’s Purpose for Your Suffering by Charles Spurgeon. It is available in paperback and Kindle on Amazon.

From Kevin Halloran:

I had a situation in my life in 2022 that made me think of suffering in a new light, and had some of the darker days of my life. I injured myself doing something silly, went to many doctors, got many tests and scans done, and was not getting better. (Thankfully, I’m over it now.)

In my desperation, I turned to Scripture and started to consider the good that God can bring about through suffering, clinging to those truths like a drowning person clings to a life preserver.

And God did do a lot of good. I realized how I relied on other things instead of God. I realized my lack of compassion for others who suffer, often unseen. And I set my eyes more to eternity where suffering will be no more.

Instead of writing a book about it, I did the next best thing: compiled sermons from Charles Spurgeon and put them in book form, along with a couple of appendices I wrote myself (a
prayer and a list of 31 Ways God Can Use Your Suffering for Good).

I pray that God’s Purpose In Your Suffering by Charles Spurgeon will encourage many to trust in God’s good and gracious promises during the trials of life.
