God’s Presence in Parenting

While reading Every Hour I Need You by Katie Faris, I was especially interested to meditate on God’s omnipresence. While I’ve known this truth in my own life, I hadn’t truly considered what it means for my children—that even when I can’t be with them, God can.


That realization lifted a weight off my shoulders. I often feel guilty for not always being there, or fearful for their safety. Faris reminded me that God is always with them, and that’s a far greater comfort than anything I can provide.
