Dinner with the King
Aimed at kids ages 5–9, Dinner with the King is a playfully illustrated book that tells the captivating story of King David's invitation to Mephibosheth, showing how this act of grace mirrors King Jesus’s invitation for us to feast with Him in heaven.
What I love about this book is that it goes beyond the usual Bible stories that many kids are familiar with. While children may not recognize Mephibosheth’s name, they’ll quickly become engaged with his story and see how it illustrates God’s incredible grace.
The Feast of the Gospel
Tautges does an excellent job of making the story accessible and relatable, helping young readers understand who God is and how He shows us grace through Jesus.
With simple language and bright illustrations, Dinner with the King is a fantastic addition to any child's bookshelf. It’s a fun and engaging way to bring the feast of the gospel to young hearts.
I received a media copy of Dinner with the King and this is my honest recommendation.
